Hey! I decided to update my wardrobe a little since it’s suddenly become very hot in the UK… So what better excuse to buy something new?
The first outfit, right at the top, is two new items! The blue top is from Topshop, it has these adorable frilly sleeves and I think it looks very cute but simple, and will go with a lot.
I’m wearing it with my own Succulent necklace from my shop Unlucky Unicorn.
To match, I am wearing these Flip-phone shorts by Hayley Elsaesser on Dollskill!
The shorts feel really comfy and soft, and I think the print is so adorable. The Size Small fits me well (I’m a waist 28″), I’m looking forward to wearing this outfit a lot this summer!
This next item is also from Dollskill. This blue and pink wrap floral dress is really light and comfy! Perfect for hot days.
It wraps around and ties in a bow at the side of the waist, and it has a popper in the middle of the chest so the wrap doesn’t fly open when the wind blows (why don’t all wrap tops have this?).
The next is another dress, this rainbow check slip dress from Urban Outfitters.
Although I really like the print on this one, it comes up pretty short on me so it may get returned, which is a shame!
It has a little zip at the back so it can be quite fitted. I wore it with a crossover pink top from ASOS (from last year).
The next item is this really cute wrap over top from River Island, but I brought it on ASOS. I really wanted to get some more interesting prints into my wardrobe, and I really liked the colours on this one! It’s the kind of top that will never go out of style!
As you can see it wraps over and ties into a cute bow, its also cropped so it goes really well with skirts and high waisted shorts.
I really love the bow detail on this, I think its a sweet touch.
The next is another item I got from Topshop, this lilac cold shoulder top! I really love this top, it’s comfy and I love the wide straps!
I love the frills on the sleeve, it feels very pretty to wear!
I also spotted these Pink wide leg jeans while in Topshop in Leicester. I just thought they were so cute, and it’s a much better choice to wear when I feel like wearing jeans, but it’s too hot for my black skinny ones.
I also brought that little white crop top which is really cute!
It’s simple but you could wear it with a lot of outfits! This crop top comes in many other different colours, and its only £6 which is a bargain!
The jeans are denim so don’t have any stretch to them, which I normally steer clear of, but these fit me so well and don’t feel tight so they were sold!
I have this one more item from Topshop… Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I actually went to Topshop and brought something! I can never seem to find anything I like but all these cute pastel tops caught my eye.
This Peachy top is perfect to throw on on these hot days.
It’s a lilac ribbed vest, with a peachy orange trimming around which I thought was an interesting mix of colours. Of course, I think Peaches are so cute too and I love this peach embroidery!
Now I have one more floral top, again I love the colours on this with the pink and the little blue flowers! This one again, is from ASOS.
Although I do really love this top, the fact that its wrapped and doesn’t have any fastening means it can easily just be opened.
You’d need to wear something underneath just in case, although I am thinking of attaching a popper like the wrap dress I got from dollskill to secure it.
This last dress is from ASOS, Reclaimed Vintage. It’s this pretty pink gingham with a bow front, unfortunately this is totally sold out now so I can’t link you to it, but I thought it was too lovely not to share!
I really love pink gingham, and I hope to find some more of it to add to my wardrobe as its so pretty.
The very last two items are from my still favourite shop ever, Lazy Oaf! I brought this oversized fluffy cloud T-Shirt with sheer ruffle on the sleeves, and I paired it with these pink shorts with heart shaped pockets.
I love the heart shorts, and I’d be after a pair like this for summer for ages, so I’m happy they were released!
Unfortunately, these are much too baggy for me, so I’m having to send them back and size down, but they feel so soft and comfortable that I’m sure i’ll be wearing them a lot!
So, that concludes my huge haul! One or two of these items will probably be going back, but I think its nice to show you anyway so you can have so more ideas of cute summer clothes!
Honestly, I never feel very comfortable in summer, but I think a lot of people feel conscious too so it’s a common feeling! Having your legs and arms out all the time can feel horrible after wearing 6 layers of clothing in the winter haha!
So this year I thought if I buy some clothes I actually like, I might actually enjoy the sunshine a little more! So I’m hoping it works, and I hope that you might see something you like here too!
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you are enjoying the sunshine! – Ellie
