Why you need Embroidery

1st September 2016

57d65bb6-7896-4c08-9d2d-00c43da99c5eMost likely if you have an interest in fashion, whether its high street or high end, you will be seeing a wave of Embroidery items stitching its way across every clothing item possible. Honestly, I am such a fan of this trend and I’m hoping maybe I can show you just how many ways it can be worn, even if you hate wearing jeans!

Whether its bags, dresses, coats, jumpers and of course Denim, everything seems to be getting a touch of Embroidery this year. With beautiful colours and wonderful craftsmanship, it really makes an item so unique and personal that I think everyone should look into having a statement piece like this in their wardrobe.

The most popular style of pattern seems to have been floral, with bright colours that really pop against some plain fabric. As much as I love it, I would say to be very picky when it comes to what designs you choose, because the embroidered denim of your childhood is a whole different level to the style of Embroidery of 2016. Keep to very simple, yet elegant designs to still give yourself that grown up feel.

Even though Embroidery has been gaining its popularity in Spring, I still feel like it will play a big part of fashion is this upcoming Fall, just with less of the pastel colour’s. I think that River Island Hangbag with the dark red and greens is the perfect proof, such a beautiful Autumn piece that would really give your outfit almost that ‘Designer’ touch without having to go to too much effort.

Honestly, this trend is everywhere and the prices really do range. Personally, my favourite piece so far is this beautiful skirt I found in Nottingham’s Topshop.

I think the embroidery of the bird with its majestic open wings really make this piece unique, and with the pretty pastel pink flowers I thought it would be perfect with a basic ribbed pink jumper and a pair of pink Sandals.

I think with Embroidery pieces, its good to keep everything else in the outfit simple but pretty. Pick a colour in the design that stands out, and work your outfit on that colour.

And thats all! Thank you so much for reading, and here are some links to all the beautiful Embroidery items! What one is your favourite?
